Job summary

NEEDS Center is hiring Direct Care Support Professionals in Methuen, MA to assist adults with developmental disabilities. Earn $20.00–$21.00 per hour with a $1,500 sign-on bonus ($750 at hire and $750 after 6 months).

Positions include full-time and part-time shifts in residential homes, with on-site duties and potential for growth. The role emphasizes teamwork, hands-on care, and supporting daily living activities in a supportive ABA/PSB-inspired environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with behavior management preferred but not required.
• Ability to provide hands-on personal care.
• Effective verbal and written communication; fluent reading.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to adults with autism and support daily routines.
• Help residents develop daily living skills like grooming, dressing, cooking, cleaning.
• Perform light housekeeping to keep areas clean and safe.
• Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for plans.
• Collaborate with team to create a therapeutic environment.

The NEEDS Center is a growing non-profit organization and right now we have 8 openings for Direct Care Support Professionals who will assist and support adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of Community Living. This is a role where you can truly make a difference in the lives of others.

• Full-time and Part-time positions available in our residential home in Methuen, MA.
• These positions are primarily either second shift, overnights, and/or weekends.

These are entry-level jobs with great potential for career growth--and training is provided!

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour (Pay based on experience and MAP Certification.)

Responsibilities Include

• Providing direct personal care to adults with autism and supporting them in their daily routines.
• Supporting residents in developing daily living skills, such as personal grooming, dressing, cooking, and cleaning.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
• Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
• Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred (but not necessary)
• Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary)
• Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with co-workers and supported individuals. Must be able to read fluently.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
