Job summary

Open Arms Care Corporation is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Memphis team on 12-hour shifts. This full-time service worker role supports clients, promotes independence, and maintains a welcoming, person-centered home environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPR within 30 days, PCM within 60 days, and a valid driver’s license. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds; training is provided, with shifts 6A–6P, 8A–8P, or 12P–12A.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire is required.
• PCM certification within 60 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Represent OAC in a positive and professional manner in community meetings, events and social functions.
• Provide day-to-day organization and implementation of activities that promote an organized and positive environment.
• Independently make decisions regarding best practices, quality assurance, risk management and problem-solving.
• Coach, teach, and mentor individuals in home management and independence.
• Engage clients in ongoing, meaningful treatment and implement ISP activities per CMS regulations.
• Coordinate, schedule and transport clients to appointments and activities; maintain required documentation.
