Job summary

WellLife Network is hiring a Direct Support Professional in New York to empower individuals and families to live independently. You will provide hands-on care, encourage independence, and advocate for needs and rights in homes and communities.

The role requires patience, compassion, and strong English communication. A NYS driver’s license with driving experience is needed for driving positions, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalency diploma is required.
• Fluent English is required for client communication.
• A valid NYS driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience is required for driving positions.
• Comfort operating a large vehicle for driving positions is expected.
• Experience with adults with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals.
• Assist with daily living activities and community integration.
• Administer medications as directed and accompany medical appointments.
• Support mobility and safe navigation of environments.
• Document daily notes, progress, and incidents accurately in electronic systems.
