Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting. The role requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, plus the ability to support participants with daily living activities and personal care.

You will build meaningful relationships, help with budgeting, fitness and nutrition goals, and encourage participation in community activities.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork and time-management skills
• Patient, compassionate, reliable and responsible behavior
• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and support individuals with complex needs.
• Help participants work toward developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
• Support participants to be part of the community and participate in preferred activities.

Direct Support Professional

This position requires someone who has had a Driver's License for at least 1 year (post permit) and a clean driving record that meets Sevita's insurability policy.
