Job summary

REM Community Services, a part of Sevita, is hiring caregivers to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings. Schedule: Sun 7pm-7am; Mon and Tue 9pm-7am. Pay starts at $15 hourly, with full benefits for full-time staff and a 401(k) with a 3% match.

You’ll assist with personal hygiene and daily activities, help participants pursue goals like budgeting and nutrition, and build meaningful, trusting relationships that empower independence.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal hygiene and daily routines.
• Support participants in pursuing developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Build meaningful relationships and encourage participation in the community.
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure participant wellbeing and safety.
