Job summary

ASG Home Care is actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities throughout New Jersey. You will work one-on-one with individuals in home and community settings while following each person's ISP.

The role provides local cases, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team with opportunities to grow within a DDD-focused agency.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with ASG Home Care, you will provide hands-on support that promotes independence, community engagement, and daily living success. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one-on-one with individuals in both home and community settings while following each person's Individualized Service Plan (ISP).

Key Responsibilities as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities


• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation


• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP


• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team


• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support

What We're Looking For in a Direct Support Professional

• Must be 18 years or older

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred


• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required


• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
