Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will provide person-centered care, encourage independence, and ensure safety and dignity in every interaction.

You will deliver hands-on support for daily living, help with mobility and transportation, and implement individualized plans while safeguarding rights and privacy under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Experience with BSPs and home care practices.
• Ability to assist with mobility and personal care.

• Implement and adapt individualized care plans and behavioral strategies (BSP)
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment that protects individual rights and well‑being
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other diverse needs
• Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Provide transportation and accompany individuals to medical, therapy, and community appointments

Skills

• Strong knowledge of behavioral support plans (BSPs) and home care practices
• Ability to assist individuals with mobility and personal care needs
• Proficient in goal tracking and implementing individualized support strategies
• Solid understanding of individual rights, person-centered advocacy, and HIPAA compliance
• Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable with excellent interpersonal skills

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and access to your own reliable transportation.
