Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Stockton, CA. The DSPs will support individuals with developmental disabilities across community and home settings, implementing behavior plans and fostering essential life skills.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months direct care experience. Certifications DSP1, DSP2, and RBT must be completed within 12 months of hire. Earn $24–$26 per hour, with a rate increase after RBT completion.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D./Diploma).
• Must have at least six months of direct care experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on behavioral services.
• DSP 1 and DSP 2 certifications must be completed within 1 year of hire date.
• RBT certification must be completed within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• The DSP will interact with and support individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings, including community and home environments.
• Assist with direct care and implement behavior plans to enhance health, safety, dignity and contentment.
• Provide training in personal care, communication, and social skills.

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must have at least six months of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on behavioral services; and

The DSP will assist with direct care as well as implementation of behavior plans.
