Job summary

Addus HomeCare is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Roan Mountain, TN. Earn up to $15.68 per hour while learning the fundamentals of quality home care and delivering life-changing service to clients living independently.

This entry-level role offers flexible hours, daily & weekly pay options, travel reimbursement, and direct deposit. You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and monitor changes in a member's condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, and one year of in-home care services experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation, required for member transport. Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized.
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring).
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.
