Job summary

AEDD, Inc. in North Little Rock, AR is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a male group home. The weekend night schedule (Sat/Sun 8 pm–8 am) supports individuals with disabilities, assisting with daily living skills, health, and community activities.

The role requires 18+, a HS diploma or GED (or two years of related experience), a valid AR driver’s license, background check, and CPR/First Aid training. Starting pay is $15 per hour, negotiable based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• HS diploma or GED with relevant experience or two years of caregiving experience.
• Valid Arkansas driver's license and auto liability insurance.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Strong communication and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing essential life skills from health and hygiene to independent living.
• Foster a positive, respectful home and community environment.
• Assist with daily routines per Medicaid Waiver Service Plan.
• Engage individuals in community activities and appointments.
• Provide transportation using your vehicle if insured per AR requirements.
• Maintain records of consumer expenses and progress notes.
• Contribute input during annual service planning meetings.
• Complete CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, and in-service training.
• Submit weekly documentation and timesheets on time.

What We're Looking For:

• Age Requirement: 18 years or older.


• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency. Alternatively, two years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities may qualify.


• Driver's License & Insurance: Valid Arkansas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.


• Background Check & Drug Screening: Required for all candidates.


• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively interact with individuals and understand written instructions.

Physical Requirements:
