Job summary

Sevita is seeking compassionate direct support professionals to help people grow, learn, and live well. You’ll assist participants with personal care and support their participation in community activities while building trust with staff and leadership.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least six months in human services, and strong communication skills. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. Sevita offers competitive pay and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time management.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants be part of the community and enjoy activities.
• Take initiative to help participants meet developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Receive leadership support and act with integrity to do what’s right for participants.
