Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals for our Plymouth Meeting, PA program. No experience is required; paid training is provided. The role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence, and supporting social and communication skills through engaging activities.

Shifts include Wednesday–Friday 2pm–10pm and Saturday 7:30am–11:30pm. This is an opportunity to grow within a caring, mission-driven nonprofit that values diversity and equal opportunity.

Qualifications

• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene and personal care.
• Foster independence by teaching daily living skills like housekeeping and laundry.
• Encourage social and communication development through structured activities.
• Support consumers in various settings, including parks and sensory gardens.

Position Details

Our ideal Direct Support Professional candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their consumers lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals. By following the Individual Support Plan, you can enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills. Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. Foster a true sense of pride in your individual, by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.

No experience required - we provide PAID training.
