Sevita’s Mentor Community Services in Joliet, IL is hiring a part-time caregiver. The role focuses on helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live well, with evening and weekend shifts and a pay rate of $19.45 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork and time-management skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable and responsible.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Help participants participate in community activities and social engagement.
• Build meaningful relationships and provide patient, respectful care.
• Ensure safety and report changes to supervisors in a timely manner.

Tuesday 9a-3p and Friday and Saturday 11pm-7am

$19.45 hourly
