Job summary

Angels of Hope Home Care Agency LLC is seeking dependable Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities. You will support daily living activities, encourage independence, and provide respectful, individualized care.

We have openings for weekday evening and every-other-weekend shifts at our Northside Indianapolis location. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth within a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete documentation.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing).
• Support activities of daily living with dignity and privacy.
• Follow ISP and document services and progress.
• Prepare meals per dietary plans and assist with chores.
• Administer medications after training and authorization.
• Monitor health and safety and report changes.

Direct Support Professional DSP Northside Indy

Angels of Hope Home Care Agency LLC

Location: Northside Indianapolis, IN

Employment Type: Part-time

We are hiring for two shift opportunities. Please indicate which schedule you are applying for.

Available Shifts

• Monday–Friday, 5:00–9:00 p.m.
• Every other weekend, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

About the Role

Angels of Hope Home Care Agency LLC is seeking dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities. You will support daily living activities, encourage independence, and provide respectful, individualized care. We have openings for weekday evening and every-other-weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs) while respecting each individual’s dignity, privacy, and choices.
• Follow Individualized Support Plans (ISPs) and document services and progress accurately.
• Prepare meals according to dietary plans and assist with household tasks, including cleaning and laundry.
• Administer medications after completing required training and authorization, following agency procedures.
• Monitor health and safety concerns and promptly report changes to appropriate staff.
• Transport individuals to appointments, community activities, and social outings according to their support plans.
• Follow approved behavioral support plans and use positive support strategies.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with supervisors, authorized family members, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain confidential records and complete required documentation on time.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to meet required background check and drug screening standards.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, complete documentation, and provide person-centered support.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
• Completion of required medication administration training; training can be provided.
• Dependable attendance and availability for the shift selected.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional, caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or in a related human services role is preferred but not required.
