Job summary

NCSS is seeking compassionate direct support professionals to assist adults with Intellectual Disabilities or Autism in community and residential settings. You will work as part of a team to implement skill-building activities, provide positive behavioral support, and maintain therapeutic relationships while documenting progress on individual goals.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work in community and residential settings.

The right candidates would support individuals with skill building in both community and residential settings.Key Responsibilities:Participating as part of a team with initiating activities to support skill-building based upon a client's Individual Support Agreement (Treatment Plan).Providing positive behavioral support and supervision while utilizing sound judgement and calm demeanor.Developing positive and therapeutic working relationships.Supporting individuals with communication needs.Providing necessary personal and/or medical care.Documenting progress on Individuals Support Agreement goals.Working with a variety of clients.The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, exhibit patience, and can support individuals calmly and empathetically with daily activities.
