Job summary

Sunrise Community of Pennsylvania, Inc. is hiring Direct Support staff in Harmonville, PA. The role provides support and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them live valued lives in the community.

Applicants must complete pre-employment screenings, hold a valid driver’s license with endorsements, and have at least one year of experience in human services. The position is paid at $19.00 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

• Background and drug screening required prior to employment.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with necessary endorsements and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports any suspected abuse or violations of an individual’s rights.
• Provides support, assistance and supervision to meet individuals’ needs and goals.
• Ensures training, behavior and support programs are implemented and documented per regulatory requirements.
• Protects health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Provides a positive, reinforcing environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Follows positioning schedules and uses equipment per plan.
