Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Greensboro, NC, to assist individuals with daily living activities, support goal achievement, and promote independence within a safe environment.

You will document progress, possibly transport clients to activities, and engage in community outings. Strong communication and English proficiency are essential, along with CPR/FA certification and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/FA certification required.
• TB screening required.
• Active driver’s license required.
• Experience with individuals with IDD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores.
• May transport clients to and from community activities.
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and fostering independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities.
• Document observations and progress on goals and ensure a safe environment.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in the English language required
• Technological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation
• Must be at least 18 years of age
