Job summary

Accessible Space in Grand Rapids, MN is seeking caring and dependable Direct Support Professionals for part-time roles. You will support individuals with disabilities with daily living activities in a small, supportive location, with paid training and growth opportunities.

As a DSP, you will help with daily living, personal cares, meal prep and medication administration while fostering independence and a high quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse individuals.
• Customer-service approach and ability to manage time and shifts.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English for accurate communication.
• Must pass a background check and meet other employment requirements.

Responsibilities

As a DSP, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, with activities of daily living, medication administration, personal cares, and meal preparation helping those individuals live independently and maintain a high quality of life.

Direct Support Professional Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse range of individuals.
• A demonstrated customer-service approach to work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to self-motivate and effectively manage time and shift priorities.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the resident and provider. Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English in order to ensure accurate communication and documentation.
• Must pass a background check and meet other employment requirements.
