What You\'ll Do (and Why It Matters)

• Empowerment Advocate: You\'ll plan and support individuals in a wide range of daily activities, from vocational training and personal living skills to recreational outings and community integration. You\'ll help them discover new interests, build confidence, and become more independent.
• Health and Safety Champion: You\'ll assist individuals in maintaining healthy lifestyles, monitor their well-being, and ensure a safe and clean environment. You\'ll be a key observer and will report any changes in their health or behavior.
• Life Skills Coach: You\'ll provide training and assistance in everything from healthy dietary choices to personal hygiene, adapting your approach to meet each individual\'s unique needs.
• Communication Hub: You\'ll stay connected with the team by checking and responding to program messages daily.
• Performance Partner: You\'ll observe, evaluate, and provide feedback on individuals\'s performance in group settings and work assignments, helping them develop valuable skills and build self-esteem.
• Transportation: You\'ll safely transport individuals to activities, work, and home, adhering to all GAAMHA safety policies.
• Record Keeper: You\'ll accurately document progress, observations, and other important information in our electronic records system, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Team Player: You\'ll actively participate in required training and maintain a professional demeanor at all times, reflecting GAAMHA\'s values and commitment to dignity and respect.

What You\'ll Bring to the Table

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in human services or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus, but your genuine desire to help others is what truly matters.
• Fluency in written and oral English. Bi-Lingual candidates a plus!
• A clean CORI (criminal record check).
• A valid driver\'s license and a good driving record.
