Job summary

Apis Services, Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Inperium, Inc.) seeks a Direct Support Professional to ensure safety and supervision of consumers living in community-based sites.

The DSP coordinates with clinical staff and assists clients with daily living activities in home and in the community. Responsibilities include documentation, medication administration, transportation, and support for community access and integration; prior human services experience is preferred and a valid driver’s

• High School diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use emails/time recording systems
• Prior experience in human services preferred

• Subject to FBI clearance if applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of individuals in accordance with ISP and support plans
• Complete required documentation
• Administer Medication
• Provide transportation to consumers
• Assist in activities of daily living (meal prep, toileting, hygiene)
• Assist in community integration and access to supports
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision

Job description

Direct Support Professional

Pay rate: $15hr / Full-Time

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for safety and supervision of our consumers with homelessness, and possible Behavioral health histories to facilitate healthy and socially acceptable behaviors while living in community-based sites. This position will coordinate with clinical staff, implement residentially based interventions and assist the clients in achieving their clinical assignments. The DSP is responsible for fulfilling the obligations as outlined in the client’s program plan. The DSP will prompt or assist, as necessary, to ensure the clients participate in the activities of daily living, in both the home and the community. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed

• Provide supervision of individuals in accordance with the person-centered ISP; supporting someone to work towards outcomes identified in ISP and other Person-Centered Support Plans
• Complete required documentation
• Administer Medication
• Provide transportation to consumers
• Support consumers in activities of daily living, meal prep, toileting, hygiene, as appropriate
• Assist in Community Integration Activities and access to community Supports including medical appointments, social security access, etc.
• Complete all other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervison

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required, associates or bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Basic computer and internet literacy with the ability to utilize applications like emails, time recording and other programs to enter and retrieve data as necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
