Job summary

Pinnacle is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Oregon to provide in-home and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, support communication, and participate in community activities.

The role requires patience, dependability, adaptability, and the ability to build positive relationships while maintaining person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a State of Oregon background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Ensure the individuals you support receive appropriate care for their medical and behavioral needs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the people you support, their families, and other stakeholders.
• Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Follow all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Assists with transfers / lifting
• Comfortable with behavioral support needs
• No animal allergies (pets in the home)
• Able to administer / manage medications
• Comfortable with personal-care tasks

About this position

These positions provide in-home and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities may include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, supporting communication, and participating in community activities. Successful candidates are patient, dependable, adaptable, and able to remain calm and supportive while building positive relationships and providing person-centered care.

• FT (38 hrs/week) | Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed
  Supporting multiple individuals through Attendant Care and DSA services. Experience with behavioral needs required.

• PT (16 hrs/week) | Fri, Mon
  In-home support position. Experience supporting behavioral and medical needs required.

• PT (27 hrs/week) | Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat
  In-home Attendant Care position supporting an individual who thrives on consistency, connection, and communication.
