Midwest Special Services (MSS) in Eagan, MN, seeks a compassionate individual to supervise and train adults with autism and developmental disabilities in day habilitation programs.
You will implement individualized plans, assist with daily needs, plan activities, support communication, and transport participants to community sites. This full-time role offers stable hours and benefits, and MSS is an AA/EEO employer.

Responsibilities: Provide supervision and training for adults with Autism, developmental disabilities and multiple physical disabilities in all aspects of services in day training and habilitation program:
Hours, Benefits: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Mon- Fri; full time. No evenings or weekends. Competitive wages. Benefits include health, life and disability insurance, paid holidays and PTO and a 401K pension plan. AA/EEO Employer. MSS provides all training for a commercial driving license as applicable.
High School diploma or equivalent. Must accurately read and implement individual plans, medication instructions etc. Must accurately record behavior of persons served and complete required forms. Must relate well with people with disabilities and with individuals with diverse backgrounds.
Must be qualified for employment in a Day Services Facility as determined by the MN DHS. Must pass other background checks as required by MSS. and/or state and federal law.
Must be able to lift and transfer adults with physical disabilities, using mechanical lifts and other methods identified as appropriate for a participant.
Must have/maintain a valid driver’s license and must have/secure a Passenger Assistance Certificate within 6 months of hire. Must obtain/maintain a DOT medical card. Must have a clean driving record and be insurable under the conditions set by our insurance carrier. Must pass a drug screen.
Note: Preference will be given to a candidate with a background in art, (painting, textiles, pottery etc.), dance, music, theater, woodworking, yoga, fitness or assistive technology.
