Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving personal goals and improving quality of life. You will support daily living activities, help with community participation, and document progress to ensure safety and progress.

This role offers hourly pay of $15–$17 in Durham, NC, with weekly payroll and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, an HSA, a 401(k), and

Qualifications

• NCI/CPI Training completed.
• CPR/FA certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• TB screening completed.
• Active driver’s license required.
• Experience with IDD is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and English proficiency required.
• Technology proficiency including mobile documentation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities.
• May transport clients to community activities.
• Support development goals and independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany outings.
• Document observations and progress; maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores
• May transport clients to and from community activities
• Support individual in achieving their developmental goals and fostering independence
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities
• Responsible for documenting observations and progress on specific goals and ensuring a safe environment for client

Requirements
