Job summary

REM Community Services, part of Sevita, is hiring Direct Support Professionals onsite in Iowa. Join a mission-driven team and help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live well, build skills, and engage in their communities.

Both full-time and part-time shifts are available, with starting pay of $17.25–$18 per hour and On-Demand Pay. As a DSP, you’ll support people in reaching personal goals—from budgeting and nutrition to community activities—while building trusted

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
• A clean driving record
• High School Diploma or GED (for some programs)
• Must be 18 years or older
• Successful clearance of background checks

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in reaching personal and developmental goals, from budgeting and nutrition to community activities and recreation.
• Build strong, trusting relationships as a mentor, advocate, and friend.
• Take initiative every day in a role where your ideas and dedication are valued.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, personal care, and outings.
• Promote inclusion by helping individuals engage with their communities and enjoy their favorite events.
