Job summary

AEDD, Inc. in Conway, AR is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for 1:1, in-home support. This role supports individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them with daily living skills and community engagement.

The position offers a flexible 24 hours per week schedule and pay starting at $13.00 per hour, with negotiation based on education and experience. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, valid AR driver's license and auto liability insurance, and pass background

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in public health/human services a plus.
• For consideration, at least one year of relevant experience with individuals with disabilities, or two years of verifiable related experience.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing essential life skills, from health and hygiene to independent living tasks.
• Foster a positive, respectful home and community environment.
• Assist with daily routines per the Medicaid Waiver Person-Centered Service Plan.
• Help individuals engage with community activities and appointments.
• Provide safe transportation using your vehicle; ensure AR state insurance requirements are met.
• Maintain records of consumer expenses and document progress.
• Contribute input during annual service planning meetings.
• Complete required training (CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, in-service).
• Submit weekly timesheets and documentation on time.

What We're Looking For:

• Age Requirement: 18 years or older.
• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience in public health, human services, or a community service agency. Alternatively, two years of verifiable experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities may qualify.
• Driver's License & Insurance: Valid Arkansas driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.
• Background Check & Drug Screening: Required for all candidates.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively interact with individuals and understand written instructions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and kneel as needed.
