Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role helps them live valued lives in the community.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report any suspected abuse or violations of an individual’s rights.
• Provide support, assistance and supervision to meet the needs and goals of individuals according to their individualized plans.
• Ensure that training, behavior and support programs are implemented and documented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the health, safety and well‑being of the individuals are protected at all times.
• Provide a positive, reinforcing environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Follow positioning schedules, use proper equipment and assistive devices per plan.
• Provide necessary level of assistance for appropriate diet, texture and equipment.
• Ensure all homes, outside areas and vehicles are well‑maintained and organized.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Successfully complete the required pre‑employment background and drug screening.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with all necessary endorsements and a minimum of three years of driving experience.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent (if required by work location).
• Minimum one year of experience working in the human service field (if required by work location).

Additional Requirements
