Job summary

Cardinal McCloskey Community Services (CMCS) in New York seeks Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with developmental disabilities live more independent and fulfilling lives. You will provide hands-on daily living support, promote dignity, inclusion, and community participation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (or 2 years of work experience), a valid NYS driver's license, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and a caring, upbeat personality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 2 years of work experience.
• Valid NYS driver's license for two years and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely lift and assist up to 70 lbs, to support individuals' mobility and personal care.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities (hygiene, cooking, housekeeping, laundry).
• Assist with medication administration, transportation to appointments, and behavioral support as needed.
• Encourage independence and community involvement by supporting individuals to achieve personal goals.
• Foster a positive, respectful environment that promotes dignity, choice, and inclusion.

We're looking for caring and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team! As a DSP, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independent, fulfilling lives. Compensation:

• Starting Pay: $17.46/hour
• With a BA or 3 Years of Experience: $17.96/hour
• Differential Pay Locations: Deveau, St. Theresa, Waterbury, and Locust - potential to earn up to $20/hour
• Additional: $0.75/hour increase after completing all required training
