Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in North Carolina is seeking a Direct Service Provider for a part-time summer role. You will work hands-on with individuals with IDD, supporting daily activities and personal care in a fun, inclusive setting.

The position emphasizes teamwork, dependable attitude, and comfort with technology/EHR. Training is provided, and competitive hourly pay plus an Employee Assistance Program are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Positive attitude, dependability, and teamwork are essential.
• Comfortable using technology or willing to learn EHR.
• Experience is a plus — training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support members with daily activities, personal care, and recreation
• Encourage independence, social skills, and participation in activities
• Assist with community outings and leisure experiences
• Ensure member health, safety, and well‑being at all times
• Help with lifting, transfers, and mobility as needed
• Assist with medication administration and documentation
• Maintain accurate documentation and incident reports
• Work as part of a supportive, mission‑driven team
• Hands-on experience in human services during a rewarding summer
