Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals for our Ambler program. You will join an extraordinary team dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live fuller lives.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in a home health aide or school setting with individuals with IDD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Individual Support Plan to assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with daily hygiene and personal care to foster independence.
• Encourage social and communication skills in various settings.
• Support consumer in housekeeping and laundry tasks to promote independence.

Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals. By following the Individual Support Plan, you can enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills. Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. Foster a true sense of pride in your individual, by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.
