Job summary

Venture Community Services in Spencer, MA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities through advocacy and daily living support. You will help individuals engage with their communities and live as independently as possible.

This full-time role offers paid training, a $1,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff, and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, PTO, and sick time.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults 22+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate actively in their lives.
• Assist with household tasks, meals, shopping, personal care as needed.
• Accompany to medical appointments, banking, community activities, and outings.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and medical guidelines.
• Administer medications as trained and according to program procedures.
