Community Options, Inc. is hiring for Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered care in Stroudsburg, PA. Roles include Caregivers and Direct Care Staff, with paid training and no experience required.

Starting pay is $17.25 per hour. Positions available as full-time, part-time, or PRN, offering valuable growth in a supportive nonprofit environment and opportunities to engage with the community and individuals receiving supports.

Qualifications

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Establish and maintain supportive relationships with individuals receiving supports.
• Demonstrate ability to stay calm and exercise good judgment in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and maintaining personal hygiene
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns promptly
• Assist with learning and development of independent and community-based skills
• Engage individuals in community, social, and recreational activities
• Transport individuals to medical appointments and activities
• Complete program documentation and billable records accurately and timely
• Build a support network with community members, businesses, and families
• Cooperate with license and department staff during inspections or investigations
