Merakey is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Pittsburgh, PA to assist residents with daily living activities and to support individualized care plans under professional direction.

Shifts include evenings, weekends, overnights, and prn, with duties ranging from care delivery and documentation to community activities and safety of residents. Demands flexibility and teamwork within an interdisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct care or residential support is helpful.
• Ability to lift, transfer and position residents as needed.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written, with residents and staff.
• Ability to plan and supervise activities for residents within a living area.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assist residents with daily living activities.
• Document progress notes and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
• Plan engaging activities and supervise social, recreational, work, and study events.
• Ensure safety and maintain a clean, organized living environment.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to care planning and training.
