Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with IDD in daily living and community activities. You will build relationships, help with ADLs, and support clients to live independently in a compassionate team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver license, current auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
