Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist with daily living activities and community participation in the Newland/Linville area. The role offers hourly pay between $16.00 and $18.00 with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments for 20+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass background, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to assist with personal care needs as required.
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help clients develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
