Job summary

Mosaic Org in Connecticut is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team. As a DSP, you will provide support and guidance to people served as they learn daily living skills to live as independently as possible.

No experience is required; we provide thorough training. Applicants must be 18+ with a valid U.S. driver’s license where applicable, and a high school diploma or equivalent. The role includes daily living support, meals, and personal care, with emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

• Desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives; training provided.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required, where applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical activity including standing, walking, bending; lifting up to 25 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to safely transfer up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of daily living skills and life activities to help individuals learn and grow.
• Help identify and achieve goals to promote independence and quality of life.
• Monitor comfort, safety, and basic medical/nutritional needs for those served.
• Provide emotional support and assist with housekeeping, meals, and laundry.
