Job summary

SAILS Washington is seeking a Direct Support Professional in the Vancouver/Law Center area to assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily living activities and community outings.

This role requires completing background checks, maintaining documentation, and following DDA Residential Service Guidelines. A valid driver's license and the ability to transport clients using your own vehicle are essential. Training and potential Nurse Assistant Registered (NAR) pathway are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and understand English documents.
• Must have a valid in-state driver’s license and be able to provide current car insurance.
• Minimum experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to program participants that meets their needs and facilitates community engagement.
• Ensure a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment.
• Must be familiar with the Residential Service Guidelines issued by the Developmental Disabilities Administration.
• Provide instruction and support services per each participant's IISP.
• Ensure daily needs such as personal hygiene, food prep, housekeeping, and health monitoring (including medication) are met.
