Job summary

Kindly Direct Care seeks compassionate caregivers and Direct Support Professionals to provide one-to-one support to adults with developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. Roles vary and may include hands-on personal care, companionship, and community participation.

Assignments may be part-time or full-time, with pay varying by assignment. Onboarding and training are provided, and the employer emphasizes dignity, privacy, and independence in care.

Qualifications

• Comfort providing hands-on personal care as required by assignments.
• Patient, respectful, dependable, and safety‑minded.
• Ability to follow detailed support instructions and report concerns promptly.
• Must be able to complete background checks, onboarding, and training.
• Prior DSP/HHA/CNA/home care or disability-services experience is preferred for higher‑support roles.
• Reliable transportation and driving credentials when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, hygiene, meals, and other ADLs as needed.
• Provide mobility, positioning, transfer or safety support per training.
• Offer companionship and help participation in community activities and routines.
• Encourage independence and support individuals to do as much as possible for themselves.
• Follow individualized care and safety instructions within DSP scope and training.
• Observe changes or concerns and report them promptly.
• Complete service documentation, timekeeping, and required communication on time.
• Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, reliability, and respect.
