Job summary

OPARC in Rancho Cucamonga, CA seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide person-centered support and transportation for adults with disabilities. The role includes health checks, daily living assistance, documentation, and preserving participant dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include supervising participants on- and off-site, coordinating with ISP plans, ensuring safety, and transporting 6–8 participants daily in OPARC vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Three (3) years of driving experience.
• Proof of current vehicle insurance as applicable.
• Ability to pass DOJ background check, fingerprint clearance, TB test, pre-employment physical, and required immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support, assistance, and transportation to adults with disabilities.
• Perform health and wellness checks and assist with mobility and daily living activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality; preserve participant dignity and independence.
• Transport participants daily (6–8) and up to 8 participants with one staff in OPARC vehicle.
• Follow driver training guidelines, traffic laws, safety, and vehicle maintenance.
