Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, seeks a part-time caregiver for evening shifts in Ohio. You’ll assist with personal hygiene, support participants with complex needs, and help them engage in community activities. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.

We offer a full benefits package for full-time employees; this role includes weekend and alternating Tuesday shifts, with competitive hourly pay of $17.00.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, proof of education is required.
• Age: Minimum 18 years old.
• Experience: Six months of experience with intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and support individuals who have complex needs.
• Help participants pursue personal goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Develop meaningful relationships and encourage engagement in the community.
• Take initiative to ensure participants are safe and participate in activities they enjoy.

Job description

REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Here we believe every person has the right to live well, and everyone deserves to have a fulfilling career.

Hire wage is $17 hourly.

This position requires someone who has had a Driver's License for at least 1 year (post permit) and a clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy.

Positions include weekend shifts as scheduled.

Part Time.

3p-10p Every other Tuesday, with every other weekend, and every other Friday.
