Job summary

Easterseals NH is seeking a Direct Support Associate to join our Community Based Services team in Rochester, NH. This full-time role supports individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs in residential homes, delivering daily personal care and mobility support.

With a schedule of 32 hours weekly (Friday and Saturday 7a-11p), the DSA will follow individual care plans and attend NADSP-funded training for certification and career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience providing direct support or direct care preferred.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care and medication administration.
• Assist with lifting, transferring, and mobility support.
• Support with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Accompany individuals on outings to daily activities, appointments, and community events.
• Follow each individual's care plan.
• Staff training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety.
• Complete required daily documentation on a computer or tablet.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.
