Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree; AND one year of experience working with children; OR High school diploma and Paraprofessional certification from North Dakota Department of Public Instruction; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Must pass a thorough background investigation.
• Paraprofessional certification from North Dakota Department of Public Instruction is required; CPI training may be required for some incumbents; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist severely disadvantaged and impaired students in classrooms with educational programs and individual assistance.
• Work with students with disabilities to help them function in a group environment.
• Monitor and guide students, encouraging task completion and positive behavior.
• Assist with developing learning plans, lesson plans, and classroom materials.
