Direct Sales Consultant

Job Description: As a Direct Sales Consultant at Garage Kings Lehigh Valley, you will play a pivotal role in helping homeowners transform their garages with high-quality floor coatings, storage solutions, and garage doors. You will be responsible for meeting with potential customers in their homes, assessing their needs, and helping them reimagine their garage space to provide comfort, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.

Your ability to engage with clients, listen to their needs, and provide expert advice will be key in establishing brand awareness, driving customer satisfaction and business growth.

New hires will participate in a thorough training program covering our products, sales processes, customer service techniques, and the use of sales software and tools.
What You’ll Do:

  1. Arrive at sales appointments fully prepared and on time, taking ownership of appointments and demonstrating a strong commitment to converting sales leads into successful sales.
  2. Utilize Ingage software selling tool to clearly convey product benefits.
  3. Actively listen to and engage with a diverse customer base and adjust approach as necessary to meet their individual needs.
  4. Develop proficiency in assessing garage needs/upgrades, recording accurate measurements, and translating findings into a visual layout and detailed scope of work that aligns with customer expectations.
  5. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Garage Kings offerings.
  6. Regularly communicate with homeowners and colleagues by phone and e-mail to provide updates, answer questions and address concerns. Ensure timely follow-ups.
  7. Attend regularly scheduled sales meetings (in-person and virtual) to provide updates, share experiences and collaborate with team members to continually improve performance and knowledge.
  8. Take part in training opportunities with an open mind and commitment to continuous improvement.

  1. Tech savvy and comfortable using technology to present, track and manage sales activities.
  2. Deep commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  3. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  4. Strong self-management skills to follow through on business needs and customer concerns while proficiently processing details, providing accurate documentation and contract paperwork, and adhering to established processes and procedures.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet and creatively approach challenges.
  6. Professional and respectful in all internal and external interactions.
Work environment: In home sales demonstrations throughout the Lehigh Valley, PA franchise territory.
Physical demands:
  1. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  2. Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time.
Travel Requirements:
  1. Ability to drive to and from customer homes throughout the Lehigh Valley, PA franchise territory is required.
  2. Reliable transportation.
Preferred education and experience:
  1. Customer Service experience preferred.
  2. Previous Sales experience would be a bonus.
  3. Spanish/English proficiency a plus.
Eligibility requirements:
  1. Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required for attending sales appointments.
  2. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  3. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  4. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
