Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) is seeking a Direct Loan Processing Coordinator for the Miramar Operations Center to handle direct loan processing and ensure timely closings.

The role supports the Direct Processing and Consumer Lending teams, handling applications, documentation, and member communications with a focus on quality service and compliance.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years prior experience in a customer service or lending related field required, banking experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage incomplete consumer applications for closing, both in branch and electronically, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor multiple submission channels for additional applications in progress and request needed documents.
• Make outbound calls to members and internal partners to resolve pending items and move applications forward.
• Collaborate with Direct Loan Processor and team members to resolve issues and ensure smooth progression of loan applications.
• Respond to inquiries regarding direct loans with timely status updates and questions resolved.

As the Direct Loan Processing Coordinator at our Miramar Operations Center, you will act as a representative of SCCU by providing exceptional quality service to members; to prepare and transmit all approved loans originated through the Express Services function, ensuring a timely closing to exceed membership expectation; and to support all processing efforts of the Direct Processing and Consumer Lending teams.

Direct Loan Processing Coordinator Key Responsibilities

• Manage incomplete consumer applications for closing, both in branch and electronically, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete and compliant with regulatory and credit union procedures.
• Monitor multiple submission channels for additional applications in progress, updating information and requesting additional documentation as needed.
• Make outbound calls to members and internal partners to resolve pending items, gather required information, and move applications forward.
• Proactively collaborate with the Direct Loan Processor and other Consumer Lending team members to resolve issues and ensure smooth progression of loan applications.
• Respond to incoming telephone inquiries regarding direct loans from internal departments, members and SCCU team members by providing timely status updates and resolving questions.
• Assist peers with loan applications as needed, supporting team efficiency and workflow by helping to resolve outstanding items.
• Demonstrate strong self-motivation, independent problem-solving skills, requiring minimal supervision, to maximize productivity, efficiency and member satisfaction.
• Recommend improvements to work methods or procedures to enhance efficiency and quality of results.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality, which are essential functions of this role.

Direct Loan Processing Coordinator Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years prior experience in a customer service or lending related field required, banking experience a plus.

Direct Loan Processing Coordinator Compensation:

• Starting Compensation: $21.18 to $20.64 per hour.
