Job summary

Medical Alternatives, Inc. in Novi, MI is hiring Direct Care Workers to provide daily support for adults with traumatic brain injuries in residential homes and supported living programs. A full-time schedule is available with multiple shifts and a $17–$19 per hour wage based on experience and qualifications.

Eligible employees receive a $3,500 new hire bonus, health insurance, PTO after 90 days, and opportunities for training and promotion within a CARF-accredited organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Michigan driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred: experience in direct care or healthcare; CPR/First Aid and CBIS certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and daily routines.
• Prepare meals and help with light housekeeping.
• Support grocery shopping and community outings.
• Assist with medication administration per procedures.
• Transport individuals using company vehicles.
• Document services and communicate with the care team.
• Promote independence with compassionate support.

Full-Time Position

• Minimum 32 hours per week
• Overtime opportunities available

Available Schedules

Choose from a variety of shifts:

• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 10:00 PM – 10:00 AM

Compensation

$17.00–$19.00 per hour
(Pay based on experience and qualifications.)

Daily Responsibilities

As a Direct Care Worker, you'll help individuals achieve greater independence while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with personal care and daily routines
