Job summary

JEVS Human Services seeks compassionate Direct Care Workers to join the Community Living & Home Supports team. This floater role requires flexibility to work in various homes, including weekends, with guaranteed part-time hours.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to adults with disabilities, promoting dignity, choice, independence and self-determination.
• Assist with daily living and personal care, including meals, bathing, dressing, toileting, household tasks, medication administration, and other needs.
• Support community involvement and skill development by accompanying individuals to appointments and activities.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming home environment while following individualized service plans and safety procedures.
• Document and communicate changes in health or behavior and coordinate with the supervisor and support team.

We’re looking for compassionate, dependable, and flexible individuals to join our Community Living & Home Supports (CLHS) team as Direct Care Workers.

About The Role

This is a floater position, which means you’ll bring your support and care to different homes and locations. Flexibility is key—you’ll work a variety of shifts, including weekends (Saturday & Sunday).

What You’ll Do

• Provide person-centered support to adults with intellectual, physical, and/or behavioral disabilities, promoting dignity, choice, independence, and self-determination.
• Assist with daily living and personal care, including meals, bathing, dressing, toileting, household tasks, medication administration, and other needs based on the individual’s support plan.
• Support community involvement and skill development by accompanying individuals to appointments, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and other community experiences.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment, while implementing individualized service plans, behavioral strategies, and health and safety procedures.
• Document and communicate effectively by completing required records, monitoring and reporting changes in individuals’ health or behavior, and working collaboratively with supervisors and the individual’s support team.

The base pay for this position is $19.09 per hour! Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
