Job summary

Homestead of Albia is seeking full-time and part-time Direct Care Workers to support residents across all shifts. The role focuses on activities of daily living and accompanying care needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with housekeeping, laundry, mealtime service, and other duties assigned by the Executive Director. A CMA certification or completion of the 10-hour medication manager course is required on hire.

Qualifications

• Must provide direct care to residents and assist with daily living activities.
• Certification as Medication Aide or completion of 10-hr medication manager course required on hire.
• Ability to perform housekeeping and laundry tasks as part of duties.

As a direct care worker that handles medications, you will be required to provide direct care to facility residents, primarily for their activities of daily living. In addition, you will assist with housekeeping and laundry duties, mealtime service, and all other duties assigned by the Executive Director. Certified Medication Aide or completion of the 10 hr medication manager course is required upon hire.
