A local Home care agency in Rural Valley, PA, is seeking Caregivers to assist individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include providing daily assistance, companionship, and supporting socialization skills both at home and in the community. Qualifications

• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily activities, including cooking, cleaning, and providing companionship.
• Support participants with socialization and adaptive skills in community settings.
• Transport to appointments and community activities as needed.

Companion Services

Employees provide services to participants living in private homes focusing solely on the health and safety of the participant.

IDD attendants might help a participant with:

• Cooking
• Cleaning
• Home chores
• Shopping
• Attending medical appointments
• Making crafts
• Playing a board game
• Watching a favorite show
• Providing companionship

In Home and Community Supports

Employees provide services to help people gain, maintain, and improve skills that allow them to live and participate in their local community.

IDD attendants may assist participants with the following:

• Gaining socialization and adaptive skills
• Shopping and errands
• Going out to eat at their favorite restaurant
• Taking a participant bowling, to a movie, or the library
• Exploring a museum, amusement park, or festival

Our participants enjoy being involved in community events and we are always seeking out fun things to do locally!

We offer flexible schedules! Work when you are available. Part-time hours available. Evening or Weekend Shifts.

Position Requirements:
