Traditional Home Care in Hawley, PA is hiring Direct Care Workers (DCW) to provide one-on-one, non-medical support for clients in their homes. Flexible Full Time/Part Time hours, weekly pay, and training are offered.

EVV/mobile device usage is required for visit logging under the 21st Century Cures Act. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, scheduling, documentation, and communicating with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide reminders to assist with daily routines, appointments and tasks.

• Support online forms and basic computer tasks.

Tuesday 10:30am-3:30pm
Wednesday 11am-4:30pm

Traditional Home Care, a locally owned and operated Home Care Agency, has immediate openings for reliable personal care staff to provide one-on-one, non-medical care for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide verbal cues and reminders to assist with daily routines, appointments, and task completion.
• Take detailed, accurate notes by typing during appointments, meetings, phone calls, and daily activities.
• Assist with formatting, composing, proofreading, and organizing professional emails and other documents.
• Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and keep track of important deadlines.
• Help organize digital and paper files and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with online forms, applications, and basic computer tasks.
• Support communication with healthcare providers, service agencies, and other professionals as directed.
• Perform internet research and gather information when requested.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
• Assist with daily living activities as needed while promoting independence.
• Provide reliable transportation to appointments and community activities, if required.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience using technology, including computers, smartphones, tablets, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other common software applications.
• Strong typing skills with the ability to take advanced, accurate notes in real time.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing needs throughout the day.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience formatting documents, composing emails, and maintaining professional correspondence.
• Ability to follow directions while also working independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Patient, respectful, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or cognitive support needs is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred (if transportation is required).

Mobile Device & EVV Requirements:

This position is in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act, which mandates Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for home care / home health services. As part of this, you will be required to use a mobile device to log visits and track service hours. Candidates must be comfortable using smartphones or tablets if not provided and must have reliable internet access to meet these requirements.
