Job summary

All American Home Care in Carnegie is seeking an experienced Direct Care Worker to join our team in the Carnegie area. The role involves providing personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship to clients in their home environment.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with responsibilities including assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a clean and safe home, and respecting client rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 1 year of caregiving experience required.
• HHA training, Adult Residential License, Direct Care Worker certification (Preferred).
• Clear background check
• Valid ID/Driver's License
• Social Security
• PPDs, TB, or Chest X-ray

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists consumer with activities of daily living as prescribed in the plan of care, including hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing.
• Maintains the home in a clean and safe environment including light housekeeping.
• Provides meal preparation and laundry as part of daily living support.
• Sitter and other related duties as assigned.

Schedule

Time: 9A-5P M-F

Position Overview

Provides consumer care services which entail personal care, light housekeeping or companion services to the consumer's home environment including assistance with the activities of daily living, maintaining a clean and safe environment, meal preparation and laundry, sitter and other related duties and assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs or assists consumer with activities of daily living as prescribed in the plan of care, including but not limited to: hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, dressing.


• Treats each person as an individual with respect and dignity.


• Respects the rights of all consumers including their right to confidentiality and autonomy.


• Maintains the home in the optimum state of cleanliness and safety including but not limited to: light housekeeping (vacuuming, laundry, dusting, washing floors, making beds, doing dishes, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

• 1 year of caregiving experience required


• Home Health Aide training, Adult Residential License, Direct Care worker certification (Preferred)


• Clear background check

• PPDs, TB, or Chest X-ray
