Job summary

MountainOne in North Adams, MA is seeking compassionate direct care staff to support residents in a structured program. You will help with life skills, daily schedules, and ensuring program safety while following medication policies and participating in team meetings.

Positions include full-time, part-time, and on-call shifts with a shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Relevant human service experience and CPR certification are valued; CORI/RMV checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 or 4-year degree in related field preferred.
• Substance use disorders and mental health knowledge preferred.
• CPR certified or certification within first 3 months of employment.
• Able to pass a Criminal Offender Record Information Check and RMV check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Supervisor in intake interviews and coordinate daily activities.
• Monitor residents' daily activities and report concerns to Site Supervisor.
• Follow and monitor the medication policy for resident regimens.
• Assist in record management and filing systems with Case Management staff.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in supervision.
• Oversee drug screening and record keeping.
• Participate in group facilitation and educational training.
• Report incidents or medication errors per agency policy.
• Engage in staff and interagency meetings and treatment team discussions.
• Conduct daily room inspections and maintain a daily chore schedule for residents.
• Perform routine bed checks and report safety concerns to Site Supervisor.
• Assist residents with transportation and participate in menu planning and food prep.
• Other duties as assigned by Site Supervisor.

General Description

Responsible for direct care of the residents in the program. They are responsible for ensuring program safety and for helping the residents understand the program requirements. Support all residents with life skills and assist in creating daily schedules of meaningful activities.

Essential Job Functions

Direct Care

• Assist Site Supervisor in the coordination of intake interviews
• Monitor daily activities of program and report all concerns to Site Supervisor
• Follow and monitor the medication policy for resident medication regimens
• Assist Case Management Staff in record management and filing systems
• Attend staff meetings and meet with supervisor weekly
• Oversee drug screening and record keeping
• Assist and participate in group facilitation and educational training
• Report and document any incidents, accidents, injuries or medication errors to your supervisor according to agency policy
• Participate in all relevant staff meetings, treatment team meetings, scheduled supervision and interagency meetings
• Conduct daily room inspections and maintain a daily chore schedule for residents
• Conduct routine bed checks
• Report any and all safety concerns to Site Supervisor
• Assist residents with both internal and external transportation services
• Have direct involvement in menu planning and food preparation
• Other duties as assigned by Site Supervisor

Administrative

Serve on interagency committees

• Keep supervisor well informed and update collateral services when needed.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and all agency policies.
• Maintain quality and safety of sites.
• Other duties as assigned by Site Supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2 or 4-year degree in related field preferred
• Relevant knowledge and or experience in substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses preferred
• Relevant Human Services/Direct Care experience preferred, will train
• CPR certified or certification within first 3 months of employment
• Able to pass a Criminal Offender Record Information Check and RMV check
